School Fees
As you are aware, we will become state funded as of September of this year. The £300 fee for Quran, Islamic Studies is due on the first day back – Monday 1st September. We will accept payment by cash or cheque. Please make cheques payable to Iqra Independent School. If you have 3 or more children at the school and require a loan, you will need to write to the trust explaining your exceptional circumstances. The trust may be prepared to advance you some monies which will then need to be repaid in monthly instalments. You will need to complete a Standing Order Form if we have agreed you can make payment by instalments. Your child will not be enrolled until all financial agreements have been completed. Standing order forms are available at the time of enrolment.

Ramadhaan
Inshallaah Ramadhaan is due to begin from the start of September. We shall have a special programme of events and assemblies for the children and parents. I know it will be difficult but it is important that our attendance and punctuality remain high during this month. We have tried to give as many holidays as we can during the last days so that we can all focus on our ibaadah. Ramadhaan break will be from 22 September to 1st October 2008. School will re-open on Thursday 2 October 2008.

Nursery Places
As the school is now part of the state sector, the school’s numbers have grown and that means that ALL the classrooms in the school building will be required.
The nursery will no longer be part of the school. The Trust are aiming to the run the nursery as an independent unit and are trying very hard to explore many options to place the nursery. If the nursery goes ahead, there may be a delay of several months. Lambeth council have located another nursery for parents to place their child until we can inshallaah establish our own independent unit.
In the mean time Lambeth will be holding a meeting at the school on Monday 11 September at 8:30am and a second at 2:45pm to find out how many parents are interested in nursery places and discuss parents’ concerns.
